To whom it may concern,
I am a loyal Edible Arrangements customer and I’ve purchased many arrangements and fruit cups (for personal and professional celebrations). Over the years I’ve had some good customer service experiences and I’ve enjoyed your products, but I’m also noticing the quality is declining.
Please allow me to share my most recent experience, where the overall quality of customer service and satisfaction was extremely poor.
Last week I called your store located at 1854 Hylan Blvd. (Staten Island, NY) at 6:15pm and the employee told she couldn’t help me because “they were getting ready to close”. The next day I called at 3:30pm and the employee told me she couldn’t help me because “they were only doing Mother’s Day orders”.
Yesterday I called at 5:52pm to place a pickup order for only five (5) fruit cups. The employee said I would “have to wait a LONG time because she was at the store by herself”. Minutes later when I arrived at the store I was surprised to see a male and female in the back room of the store (since she had just told me she was alone), and disappointed to have the same person I spoke with over the phone come out of the back room only to tell me she “didn’t know how to make a fruit cup or how many pieces to put in it”. Since I was already at the store, I asked if there was anyone she could call to find out. She told me to wait, she went back to the back room, and finally at around 6:40pm she came out with the fruit cups. The cups were not full and they didn’t look like the ones advertised on the store wall, but I figured this was due to the fact that she didn’t know how to make it.
A few minutes after I left the store one of the children said the fruits didn’t taste good so I looked inside the cup and noticed some of the fruits were spoiled and appeared to be old or something from a left over arrangement (the fruit pieces even had the holes from the old arrangement sticks)!
I would like to request a refund, but please understand this is not only about the money. It is my hope that moving forward the store would make available ALL the advertised products and provide them to customers during normal business hours (7pm). I would also like to suggest ongoing training for your employees.
